Michael has over 35 years of experience as a private equity investor, corporate executive, and corporate board member, managing and investing in companies focused on the energy, utilities, and communications sectors, which include conventional and renewable power generation, natural gas, and power trading/origination, waste management, and utilities. Prior to GreenMine, Michael was CEO of Quantum Utility Generation, a private equity-backed portfolio company that pursued opportunities to own and operate fossil and renewable generation projects. From 2001 until 2017, Michael was a Partner and member of the Management and Investment Committees of Highstar Capital, L.P., a private equity investment fund focused on investing in energy, infrastructure, and utilities, where Michael led the fund’s investment efforts in power generation and midstream oil and gas. Prior to joining Highstar in 2001, he had a career in infrastructure management, finance, investments, and project development at Enron North America from 1993 to 2001 and FPL Group (ESI Energy) from 1987 to 1993. Michael has served on the Board of Directors of several private companies focused on the power generation, waste management, waste-to-energy, midstream oil and gas and water utilities sectors as well as being a former director of Kinder Morgan, Inc. Michael received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He is a CFA charter holder.
James C. Row, CFA, is the Founder and Managing Partner of Entoro Capital, LLC, a middle-market investment bank based in Houston, TX. Mr. Row has over 25 years of experience in capital raising, deal structuring and energy finance, including project finance, equity and debt securities, risk management and digital securities. He has originated and arranged funding, in excess of $10 billion. Mr. Row is a Chartered Financial Analyst and maintains Series 7, 24, 28, 63, 79 and 99 FINRA securities licenses. He serves as a member of leading industry groups such as the Houston Society of Financial Analysts, Houston World Affairs Council, and Houston Producers Forum. Mr. Row is the author of several oil and gas issues and a featured speaker at global industry conferences.
Fred started his career in Technology in 1983 as a technical installer and Computer programmer for Triad Systems (Sunnyvale, CA). Triad Systems developed an advanced POS system and catalog including hardware and software for the Automotive Supply and Industrial parts businesses. Fred developed a passion for new technology such as Novell and Ethernet, and Storage and IP Networks. Fred’s five years with Bell Canada in ICT (Information, Computer Technology) gave him skills to focus on Data Centers and managed services central to Cloud Computing. Fred’s thirty years of IT experience and skills helped him create a class-leading Cloud Computing company (NextLayer). Fred later built a tier 3 Data Center to host Visual effects applications for Vancouver’s Film Industry (Mt. Pleasant), connecting the trendy area via fiber to Canada’s Internet Gateway. Fred’s data center design paved the way to consult on various Cryptocurrency projects across North America. Fred turned Atlas Cloud into a public Company in 2013 and sold control in 2017 (Atlas Blockchain). In 2018, Atlas acquired property in Electric City, Washington where Fred managed the renovation for crypto mining. Fred’s quest for acquisitions took him across North America to visit thought leaders on design economics for crypto mining.
Adam Richard is the Head of Corporate Development and Strategic Alliances at Entoro Capital. With over a decade of experience in software and technology, Mr.Richard has worked and consulted in the areas of energy, power, industrial metals, financial markets, land and mineral title, rewards and loyalty, blockchain architecture, security protocols, and cryptocurrency game theory design. Mr. Richard advises startups and has consulted numerous early and growth-stage companies on their product-market-fit, go-to-market strategies, product commercialization, and capital raising guidance. In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Richard co-authored a chapter in Transforming Climate Finance and Green Investment with Blockchains, titled “Efficient Power Markets: Reimagining the Global Market with Ethereum”. He is the founder of the Houston Bitcoin Meetup (2013), the co-founder of the Houston Ethereum Meetup (2014), and was the co-founder & partner of Sutton Stone (2014).
